That's my Girl(s)!!

So all through my childhood I have had this strange fixation with old movies and musicals. I have loved them for as long as I can remember. In fact some of my first memories of T.V. watching has been of Little House on the Prairie, The Walton's, and Mr. Roger's Opera's. Now that I am a mom, I am beginning to see these same traits in my daughters.

For some time now, our morning ritual has been: I get up, get Truman up and get him off to school. Then I come home, and the girls get up and we watch two episodes of The Walton's while I have my coffee, and they eat breakfast. After the Walton's we will sometimes hang around for an episode (or two) of Little House on the Prairie. This is always a part of my day that I look forward to because they really seem to enjoy it.

Other classics that they have been hooked on recently include:

Annie

(they love to go through Walmart singing "It's a Hard knock Life", and addressing their Aunt Betty as Miss Hannigan!)

The Wizard of Oz
(Olivia knows all of the lyrics to "Over the Rainbow"),
The Greatest Show on Earth, and their latest fixation...The Sound of Music.

All I can say is - THEY MAKE THEIR MAMA PROUD!
