Wow! It seems like it has been forever since my last post! SO much has been going on that I have been finding it hard to stop and record it all. SO here I am with so much to say and so little time. I figure I will just add on one day at a time...

Last Sunday (exactly one week ago today) was SO MUCH FUN! We woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs, blueberry pancakes, and COFFEE!!! Pop Pop was at work in the kitchen...I remember when I was a kid that this was a Sunday morning tradition. Dad would make breakfast for everyone while the rest of us got ready for church...yeah, yeah, yeah now you all know our dirty little secret-the real reason why we were always late for church was because we were FEASTING!

Anyway, after we ate, Anj came over, and we packed a lunch and all headed out to Lake Taconic for a picnic. Let me tell you, it was the PERFECT day for it. The weather was sunny and in the low 80's, and there was virtually NO humidity. What else made it perfect was that the beach was pretty much empty. So we just set up camp right on the beach instead of looking for the usual picnic table in the grass.

That day we played in the sand, went swimming in the lake, slept in the sun, and even got some fishing in too! Truman went off for awhile with Pop Pop before we ate, and actually caught 4 fish! After we ate, I went with Pop Pop to the other side of the lake (we had to drive because it is so huge) and I caught SEAWEED! A ton of it!

After we came home, I got the kids bathed and ready for bed while mom made a peach cobbler for desert. YUM! The girls picked out a movie to watch while we ate, so that night's viewing was the Sound of Music.

Needless to say, it was a GREAT DAY!!
