Well folks, I figured that for my first “official” blog, I would bring you all up to speed as to where we are now.
As most of you know, last year we relocated to North Carolina. In August I accepted a job with Wachovia Bank, and I moved into Don’s mom’s (Gernie) house with the kids. Not long after, Don followed in a big truck with all of our “stuff”.
After about a month of job searching, Don landed a job with Ashley Furniture Home stores in Winston Salem. So we headed on out of Gernie’s house and into our own. We ended up finding a four bedroom two bath home with a HUGE backyard.
In the midst
of all of this adjusting from the move and relocation, Truman also had the daunting task of beginning Kindergarten. Let me just say that this has been VERY hard on me. From the moment this little guy was born, this had been my one DREAD. Needless to say, I thank God that we found a wonderful school for him that was filled with wonderful teachers. As this school year winds down I find myself filled with such pride and wonder at how much he has grown over this past year. He made it through, and now he has all the first grade teachers fighting over who will get him next year!
So, where are we now? Well, right after we moved into our home, Don and I made the decision that I should leave my job, and stay home with the kids. The main reason for this was because the stress of everything that has been going on was a little too much for them, and they needed some type of stability back in their lives. So now here we are excited to see where God will take us next!

I love it! I am glad you started this. It is hard to keep up with sometimes but it really helps keeping connected with people despite the craziness of life. Love ya!
