Festival of Trees

Last Friday I took the kids to downtown Greensboro for it's annual tree lighting. What fun! there were street vendors and people singing on the side walk. Near the tree there was a stage set up for performances, and about a half hour before the lighting, everyone began to sing Christmas carols. It was such a fun time with joy and happiness in the air. You just couldn't help but smile to be there. Bagpipes, Gospel music, Country...it as all there. There were people dressed up in Old World costume and caroling all around. And there were TONS and TONS of people. At one point I felt like I was in Manhattan during the holidays...
